totaling 51% key ingredients. No other throat drop comes close.

The beginning
A confectioner on 8th Street
In 1870, J. Herman Pine opened a confectionery on 8th Street above Walnut in Philadelphia and sold his first Pine Brothers Glycerine Tablets. He had combined plant glycerin and gum acacia while looking for a soothing drop for his own throat.
The softish formula
Gum acacia, honey and plant glycerin
That combination gives Pine Bros drops their softish texture. The recipe has stayed with the brand through generations of throat drops and five flavors.
